Communication Styles and Tone

Real estate agents needed guidance on how to communicate with their internal and external customers. Through the data received, agents were not communicating, written and verbal, professionally. It was important for all agents, and general Redfin employees, to have a solid foundation in how to communicate within the organization. The onboarding team requested I design a course in business communications. The team asked that I include text and video as a part of the design. I designed and developed an online module around communication guidelines and best practices. As a part of the design strategy, I created this business communications style and tone video, outlining the tips and examples of written communications received. I updated the existing video content with new video graphics and b-roll—the development of the video included all post video editing techniques and applications. The video and online module, was quite successful. Based on the data from the compiled surveys, the agents improved their communications with their customers.
