Learning Systems Design

Learning systems, not just deliverables

I design learning systems that help people perform.

With more clarity, confidence, and consistency.

My work connects content strategy, mobile learning, interaction design, governance, and operational enablement into systems people can actually use.

Learning Systems • Operational Enablement • AI Workflows

Designing learning systems for complex operational environments.

I design scalable onboarding ecosystems, AI-assisted workflows, interactive enablement concepts, and operational learning systems that help people perform more confidently inside increasingly complex environments. I’m also professionally incapable of ignoring inefficient systems.

Part systems thinker, part builder, part “wait, there has to be a better way to do this” person.

I believe learning is shifting from standalone training toward embedded operational support systems.

Which probably explains why I spend an unreasonable amount of time redesigning workflows for fun.

Escalate if needed

Learning is shifting from standalone training toward embedded operational experience design. The strongest systems support people directly inside the workflow through intelligent guidance, contextual enablement, and AI-assisted performance support.

I’m less interested in building standalone courses and more interested in designing operational systems that help people perform, adapt, and make better decisions in real environments.

How I Think

Strategy with craft.
Systems with soul.

I design learning experiences that connect people, workflows, tools, and support systems so learning feels useful in the moments that matter.

01

Architect the system

I look beyond the course to design ecosystems that connect onboarding, operations, content, tools, and performance support.

02

Design for the workflow

I explore how learning can show up closer to the work itself through contextual guidance, decision support, and smarter enablement patterns.

03

Prototype what’s next

I build experimental patterns that blend learning design, product thinking, AI-enabled workflows, and human-centered experience design.

Signature Framework

The enablement shift.

I believe learning is evolving from standalone training experiences into connected operational support systems embedded directly into the flow of work.

01

Traditional Learning

Courses

Static learning experiences designed primarily around information delivery, knowledge transfer, and completion.

03

Emerging Future

Intelligent Support Systems

AI-assisted environments deliver embedded support, contextual decision guidance, and adaptive enablement directly inside operational workflows.

Innovation Lab

Building concepts for the next generation of learning systems.

Experiments exploring AI-assisted workflows, product-inspired learning, workflow-native support, and embedded enablement systems built for real operational moments.

AI-assisted workflows

Structured systems that use AI to support ideation, scripting, review cycles, content operations, and better human decision-making.

Product-inspired prototypes

Experimental interaction patterns that explore how learning experiences can feel more like useful products than static content.

Workflow-native support

Concepts for delivering guidance, troubleshooting, and performance support directly inside the moments where people need clarity.

How I Work

From operational complexity to useful enablement systems.

My process blends systems thinking, experience design, workflow analysis, stakeholder alignment, and iteration so support feels simple where people need it most.

01

Map the system

Understand the audience, operational goals, workflows, constraints, behaviors, and moments where support can actually improve performance.

02

Design the experience

Turn complexity into clear journeys, useful guidance, intuitive interactions, and support that feels connected to the work itself.

03

Build for scale

Create reusable patterns, governance, workflows, and content systems that help teams move faster without losing consistency or quality.

04

Evolve the system

Use feedback, data, and operational signals to improve the experience over time instead of treating launch as the finish line.

About Andy

I build learning systems for complex operational environments.

I’m a Sr. Learning Experience Designer focused on scalable onboarding, workflow-native enablement, content systems, and AI-assisted learning operations. My work blends instructional design, UX thinking, systems strategy, and hands-on prototyping to create support that feels clear, useful, and built for real life. I care a lot about reducing friction for people because most operational environments are already stressful enough without confusing systems making things worse.
